The challenge
Leyun is a cloud service company which focus on online streaming. Online streaming is increasing rapidly in recent years. As the business keeps growing, Leyun had faced the risk of downtime and the pressure of cost; they were seeking a good cloud platform with the competitive pricing structure.
The solution
Leyun will choose Cloud platform to deploy new service and migrate old service. Compared with other cloud platforms, Leyun was particularly impressed by the reliability that Google could provide the solution for their requirement. Also, GCP has a competitive pricing model, which it decreases Leyun’s cost. Gaia as a GCP partner has a robust team that could deliver in-time support. Gaia has implemented and support Leyun to migrate physical services or virtual machine from on-premises to the cloud platform on their service. It helps Leyun to enhance the performance of streaming and reduce the cost of management and operation.
The results
Currently, there have around 300 VM instances to provide more than ten services for Leyun’s business. Most of the customers are in Southeast Asia. It improves connection performance after implementing the GCP.Leyun uses the third party monitoring tool to compare the performance. The network throughput improves 8 percent on average and more than 23 percent in some countries. Along with better performance and price, Leyun has a substantial advantage in the online streaming market. It helps Leyun to bring up more business. After Leyun imported GCP, the company grew up 20% of revenue, and reduce a lot of downtime. Leyun is very satisfied with the result of GCP implementation.
